Induction heating is used widely in mining, for example, to improve the performance and lifespan of components and to separate or process ores and other minerals.  

Introduction

Induction hardening improves the wear resistance and durability of components subject to high abrasion and impact levels, such as drilling and excavation tools, conveyor rollers and crusher parts. The technology can also be used to improve the fatigue strength. Another common application of induction heating in the mining industry is the brazing of equipment, as the controllability of induction ensures an optimal brazing temperature. Induction heating is also used for metallurgical processes, for example, smelting and refining.
